  • Chris, a patient at Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital, sits in a wheelchair smiling and hugging Clinical Liaison Rebecca. The Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital logo appears in the background with the text 'Success Story: Chris Padilla.
    Christopher Padilla

When Christopher Padilla arrived at Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital in early summer, his life looked very different than it had just weeks before. A serious accident had left him with multiple fractures and significant injuries. Suddenly, walking and performing everyday activities most young adults take for granted became difficult.

  • Scott Robbins

Scott Robbins just wanted to be independent again. He used to be able to do everything on his own, but increasing back pain made even everyday tasks challenging. Scott opted for back surgery, which he underwent at University Hospital.
